For CDC / TPO cells
TrackCDC — as in Career Development Centre — sits on the student's side of the placement process. It does not replace your portal, your rules, or your workflow — it gives students a better place to keep track of what you have already announced.
The problem it addresses
A placement cell announces a drive once. That announcement then fragments — forwarded into batch groups, screenshotted, half-remembered. The questions that come back to your office are rarely about policy; they are about details that were already in the original mail.
- "What was the CGPA cutoff for this one again?"
- "Has the OA link been shared yet?"
- "Am I eligible for this drive?"
- "What time was the test?"
Every one of those is a lookup a student should be able to do for themselves. TrackCDC makes that possible by giving them a structured copy of what you sent.
What it does not do
This is the important part, and we would rather state it plainly than have you discover it later:
- It does not connect to your portal. There is no integration, no scraping, and no automated login. Students paste announcements in by hand.
- It is not a source of truth. Eligibility shown in the app is computed from what the student entered. Your portal remains authoritative, and the app says so wherever a verdict is displayed.
- It does not register anyone for anything. Applying still happens on your portal or the company's.
- It gives us no visibility into your data. We do not receive your announcements, your student list, or your drive records.
What changes for students
- One list of every drive they have applied to, across your portal, Unstop, and company sites.
- A countdown to each OA and interview slot, so a deadline is visible rather than remembered.
- An eligibility check against their own CGPA, backlog count and branch — flagged before they spend an evening on an application they cannot submit.
- A place to archive test patterns and interview questions while they are still fresh, which compounds in value across a batch.
If you want to point students at it
Nothing is required from your side — no agreement, no onboarding, no account provisioning. Students can start using it independently. If you would like to mention it in an orientation or a mail, the most useful thing to link is the feature overview, which shows exactly what the app does before anyone signs up.
If your cell has a specific concern about how student data is handled, the data & security page describes where information is currently stored, in plain terms.
